The New Journey of Being Faithfully Shameless

Updated: Jun 29

Hello, beautiful people!

This is my very first blog post of many! I was inspired by a Youtuber whose channel is called Shameless Maya. She decided to spend a year to be shameless in her faith, career, and her life journey, so I decided to do the same. This  will be a year for me to be faithfully shameless in my faith and every aspect of my life.

Therefore, I was able to do something absolutely amazing this year which is publishing my first book called Crown with Glory: The Lessons that can be Learned from the Book of Esther. Yes, I am a published author, and it is absolutely exciting! This was able to come about after participating in a writing challenge that I learned about from an amazing friend and sister in Christ, Toni. She shared with me the 30-Day Writing Challenge by Karolyne Roberts. I have to say this challenge was mind-blowing and inspirational. I actually have 2-3 books ideas/manuscripts that are still saved on my computer but have not been completed. This devotional was the first book I have written and published because I’m actually allowed God to work through me and alongside me throughout the writing process.

In this writing challenge, I like how Karolyne made the writing process very easy and seamless with the various writing prompts. Most of all, to direct us to God and the scriptures of how we must include God in our plans and all that we do. There were 3 lessons that I learned from this challenge: (1) I must surrender all ideas, and concerns to the Lord  and allow Him to order my steps. In the scriptures it does state that God will order our steps, He has a plan for us, and He wants us to include Him in all that we do. Most of all, we must do all things for Him with excellence, which is the least we can do for the Lord who has always been faithful to us. (2) To trust and believe that I will be able to accomplish this task, since God has given me the grace to complete it. I did not complete this challenge in 30 days, but it took several months to complete, and I stuck by it. I was able to complete this task because I knew God completes everything that He started so can I, especially when He is by my side. (3) Provide myself with grace to complete this project. I do not know for anyone else, but I have a bad habit of second guessing myself or being super crucial of myself. It is something I am working on due to doubts, self-consciousness, and a sense of lack. I tend to have to remind myself not to believe the lies and renew my mind with the truth of God. Furthermore, if anyone have a story to birth I will recommend trying out the 30-Day Writing Challenge by Karolyne Roberts.

I have to end this blog post with a shameless plug for my devotional book, which can be found on Amazon. This devotional is written to help better understand the book of Esther with various reflection question, and fasting prompts.

Grace + Peace, lovelies!
